MERCHANDISE & SALES: Dee McKinnis
Dee was born and raised in Lyons, Kansas. Dee met Roy McKinnis in High School and were married in 1960. They moved from Lyons Kansas to Tulsa Ok. in 1968.
In 2010 Dee and Roy moved to Keller Tx, Part of the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex.
Dee worked for SouthWestern Bell for 25 years in several different departments. Dee worked in Repair, Cable, Sales and 411(Information) departments. Dee retired in 1999.
Roy and Dee joined the Scottish Club of Tulsa in 1995. A year later they were asked to be on the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Scottish Games. The Games are held the third weekend of September each year. Dee was the Awards Director for Seven years, and T-shirt and Merchandising Sales for the Games for six years. Roy and Dee both retired from the Tulsa Games as Director's in 2001.
Dee's Scottish heritage is Kelso (Roxbough District) on the Borders ,on her mother's side and McPhie on her father's side. Dee also is part Cherokee Indian on her mother's side.
Dee and Roy keep busy with traveling to games. They have attended games in Mesa, AZ; Arlington, TX; Grandfather Mountain, NC; Goshen, CT; Fort Smith, AR. Maine and Tucson, AZ.
Dee and Roy have two children, Mark and Debbie, and five grandchildren, Taylor, Casey, Joseph and Lauren, and Ethan.
Dee's hobbies are reading, water aerobics, antiquing, traveling, but her passion is unusual tasty food.
